There are two kingdoms — the Kingdom of Darkness and the Kingdom of God.
Every person starts in the Kingdom of Darkness, where sin, shame, and separation from God rule.
But when we put our faith in Jesus, He rescues us and brings us into the Kingdom of God, where love, forgiveness, and purpose are found. Romans 10:9 states “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
The Cross in the drawing is the bridge between the two kingdoms — Jesus made a way for us to cross over through accepting Him as our Savior and by acknowledging that He lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and was raised from the dead 3 days later.
Once we’re in the Kingdom of God, we’re called to shine that light and help others find their way too.
